Why Affiliate with Heartbeat International?
Heartbeat International is a Christian, interdenominational
association that provides networking opportunities, and the
support, training, and resources for members to be creative
and entrepreneurial, as the Lord leads, in their own communities.
Heartbeat is based on the model of other professional membership
organizations, however, member affiliates decide how much and
when they want to participate.
Opportunities are available to members to be involved in writing
for Heartbeat publications and in giving presentations at Heartbeat
trainings events. There are also opportunities to serve as consultants
on the Heartbeat team.
Our members include pregnancy resource centers, maternity homes,
non-profit adoption agencies, and post-abortion programs.
What unites Heartbeat affiliates are the following principles
plus “Our Commitment of Care”.
Heartbeat Principles:
1. Heartbeat affiliates propose and offer, through education
and creative services, positive choices for the woman challenged
by pregnancy.
2. Heartbeat affiliates shall not discriminate in their services
on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, age, or
marital status.
3. Heartbeat affiliates’ services are personal, confidential,
and non-judgmental.
4. Heartbeat affiliates shall not advise, provide, or refer
for abortion or abortifacients.
5. Heartbeat affiliates encourage chastity as a positive lifestyle
choice.
Affiliates are entirely automonous in all other matters of policy
and management.
Heartbeat International helps new centers by providing one year
free affiliation to help them get started.
In addition, joining Heartbeat International as an affiliate

Wolock, J.D., is available for research on legal issues relevant
to affiliates and free consultation with your organization’s
legal counsel.
Option Line 24-hour hotline - This joint
venture between Heartbeat and Care Net will be able to patch
calls to you from this nationwide 800# (and refer to you when
your center is not open).
Sexual Integrity Program - A new, comprehensive
approach specifically designed to reach the negative-test client
(but with elements that can help every client). Heartbeat has a Sexual Integrity Specialist on staff to answer all of your questions.
ConCert (Consultant Certificate) Program - A distance learning volunteer certificate program with
instructional manuals, resources, tests, and one-on-one communication
via fax or e-mail with a teacher.
Choice of conferences and specialized trainings –
Annual Conference, Medical Clinic Symposium, Executive Roundtable,
New Director Oasis.
On-site training and consultation on a variety of topics
at $350/day (plus expenses).
Unlimited free phone and e-mail consultation with our Affiliate Services staff on any issue related
to programs, governance, operations, or for spiritual encouragement
and prayer.
Our International Affiliate Partner Program seeks to extend
education, training, and consultation resources to countries
outside the U.S. through the encouragement, prayers, and financial
support of U.S. pregnancy resource centers and churches. You
can assist in the starting, development, provision, and training
of pregnancy centers and maternity homes around the world.
