Holding Each Life Precious

A Letter to Congress

Isn’t it time to stop funding abortion with our hard-earned tax dollars?

Defund Planned ParenthoodYou probably have already heard that Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider, but did you know that they recklessly burn through $1 Million of hard-earned tax payer funds every day? That’s what folks who have worked for Planned Parenthood are saying in a recent letter to Congress.

(Click here to read the letter.)

Isn’t it time that Congress stops funding Planned Parenthood? That’s the reason Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn is circulating the letter to fellow members. In the letter, Planned Parenthood’s former officers and employees wrote that Planned Parenthood:

  • Failed to: segregate taxpayer dollars in the way that is required under federal law,
  • Failed to: give parental notification in cases of statutory rape and human trafficking,
  • Failed to: stop or adequately address coercion at their facilities, and
  • Failed to: keep financial records in compliance with state and federal laws.

The Congresswoman encouraged her colleagues: “Please read this letter in its entirety and speak up. It is morally indefensible and fiscally irresponsible to give taxpayer money to a corporation that breaks the law. Let’s ensure Planned Parenthood is held fully accountable for any illegal actions with which they are involved.”

Pregnancy Help Centers affiliated with Heartbeat International provide a woman considering an abortion with accurate and relevant information regarding the stage of her pregnancy – sharing information about human development as well as the physical, emotional, and spiritual risks often association with aborting a baby. These are the vital facts that every woman needs in order to decide the future of her pregnancy and the future of her family. These are the critical facts that Planned Parenthood often chooses to leave out.

The letter signers include:

  • Catherine Adair, former employee of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts
  • Dr. Patti Giebink, former abortion doctor at Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota
  • Abby Johnson, former clinic director of Planned Parenthood Center for Choice in Bryan, Texas
  • Luis Maldonado, former clinic assistant at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte in San Jose, California
  • Sue Thayer, former clinic manager of Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa/Planned Parenthood of the Heartland
  • Ramona Trevino, former clinic manager of Planned Parenthood of North Texas
  • Patricia Sandoval, former clinic employee of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte in Sacramento, California

Please ask Congressman Upton (R-6th MI), Chairman of Energy and Commerce Committee, to investigate Planned Parenthood and to STOP funding America’s largest abortion provider. Call him today at 1-202-225-3761.
