Heartbeat International’s Babies Go to Congress campaign may be the most powerful Pro-Life event on Capitol Hill. Just imagine pro-abortion lawmakers, many of whom sponsor legislation to put crisis pregnancy centers out of business, meeting with women who choose life at our pregnancy centers! After all, who can turn away smiling mothers, with happy babies in hand, who share their stories of the love and support they found at their local pregnancy help center? (Watch the videos below.) Pregnancy Centers are good for America
Michelle Murphy's world came to a life-altering halt the day she found out that she was pregnant. Michele was young and felt alone and afraid. She did not want to disappoint her family or be forced to forfeit her dreams of becoming a dentist. Giving into pressure, Michelle made three abortion appointments but canceled each one because she felt unable to go through with the abortion.
Michelle's boyfriend offered to go with her on the final appointment so that she would not change her mind. "The day I arrived at the abortion clinic, I saw people standing outside of the clinic. A caring lady walked up to my boyfriend’s car and told me that I didn’t have to go through with this. I knew in that moment that I would keep my baby."
The day Michelle found A Woman's Care Center her life was changed. With their love and support Michelle was able to choose life for her son, Michael, and graduate high school with 4.0 GPA. She went on to train and work as a dental assistant. Because of your support, Michael is alive today and Michelle was able to share her story with her representative in Washington, D.C., last January, and demonstrate that pregnancy centers are truly good for America!
