Heroic Men and women battle for life in latin america
On a recent trip to Nicaragua, Heartbeat President, Peggy Hartshorn welcomed our new Latin American partner, Centro de Ayuda de Muyer Latinomaericana (CAM), and their 93 centers as affiliates in the Heartbeat International network.
We are inspired by the heroism of the men and women that the Lord has called into the battle in Latin America. As laws protecting babies and mothers from abortion have begun to fall, both legal and illegal abortion clinics are opening and competing for business. Where abortion is still illegal (but illegal abortion clinics are opening), our pregnancy centers are being harassed.
In a perverse twist of the situation in the United States, our centers are sometimes accused of being illegal abortion clinics in efforts by corrupt law enforcement agencies to close them down! In one case in Peru, corrupt police confiscated prenatal vitamins and accused our center of having abortion-inducing drugs.
Latin America is being actively targeted by Planned Parenthood and United Nations population control radicals. We have seen their tactics in Mexico City where abortion is now legal. Thank you for standing with Heartbeat.
