PDHC-Z was founded in 2002 with the vision of opening life-affirming pregnancy centers in every part of the country where the Planned Parenthood Association of Zambia is active. Abortion and post-abortion syndrome are very real problems throughout Zambia. One hospital recently reported that they treat approximately 25 abortion-related complication cases per day. Newspapers are tragically filled with stories of mothers killing their babies after delivery.
Despite these challenges, PDHC-Z is making a positive impact for life. Over the past two years, they have taught true reproductive health and abstinence to over 28,000 students throughout the country. Through education and counseling, PDHC-Z is working to create a hopeful future for women, children, and families in Zambia.
