GOVERN Well^TM Online Training

Heartbeat's GOVERN Well training helps new and seasoned Board members move  your center to the next level of effectiveness by connecting (or reconnecting) with these qualities as expressed in key areas: Goals, Ownership, Values, Effect, Regulate, and Nurture.This training guides Board members toward the vision and consensus of expectations, so that they can keep resources focused on the mission.

Designed for new and seasoned Board Members alike, this online training takes you through a training of the GOVERN Well manual at your own pace, on your own schedule. This training will ensure Board Members learn or are reminded of their GOVERN responsibilities as they put these different responsibilities into practice and examine these responsibilities in test scenarios. The online training includes:

• Overview of the six proven areas of Governance.
• Exercises designed to help the Board both understand the importance of, and develop clear delineation on Board and Director  responsibilities.
• Sample materials for download, helping to ensure your organization remains or continues to be a healthy organization.

This training will take 7-8 hours to complete.  There are additional "off-line" activities suggested during the training that will take additional time for you to complete with your Board. Upon completion, you can print a certificate demonstrating that you have completed the course.

Please note Heartbeat strongly recommends you have access to a copy of the GOVERN Well manual to complete this training. A copy of the manual can be purchased separately by contact the Heartbeat offices.
