In this webinar, you’ll join Medical Specialist Susan Dammann,  as we closely examine the early history of abortion, beginning with some surprising facts regarding the secret history of abortion from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries and going through to the tactics and influential people involved in leading up to the passing of Roe v. Wade. During the course of the presentation, we will look at the introduction of abortion laws in the US, as well as the Comstock Law banning birth control information and devices. You will also have the chance to learn more about some of the early feminists who fought for women’s equality while opposing abortion, as well as take a closer look at Margaret Sanger’s influence, philosophies, efforts, alliances,  and of course the founding of Planned Parenthood.

This webinar is the first presentation of a three-part series on "The History of Abortion"

The webinar will last approximately forty-five (45) minutes, with a question and answer session to follow.

Presenter Biography:

Susan is a registered nurse and trained educator on the issues involving life.  Having witnessed the reality of abortion first hand during her hospital employment, she has a unique love for unborn children and their parents.  Susan has served as Vice-President of Columbus Right To Life, Director of Education for the Center for Bio-ethical Reform, Director of Open Gate Pregnancy Care Center and Nurse Manager for Pregnancy Decision Health Center.  Susan has spent much time speaking in schools and churches, participating in educational projects on college campuses, and  training other pro-life apologists through the Speakers Training course she developed.  She has debated abortion rights advocates in various forums, including conventions and banquets and has made frequent appearances on radio and television programs. Susan currently works for Heartbeat International. She is married and has two grown daughters and a new grandson, and resides in Columbus, Ohio.
