The workshop topics this year include incorporating STI testing to reach the next generation, tough abortion questions, safety considerations of medical abortion, caring for your ultrasound equipment, the LOVE approach method to scanning, incorporating medical services, chemical abortion in 2022 and much more!

Heartbeat International will offer continuing education nursing contact hour credit for nurses (approved by Heartbeat International). Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Provider Number 16061 for 1.00 contact hour for each qualifying medical workshop and 6.00 contact hours for each In-Depth Day. Medical Professionals ~ please bring your license number if applying for CEUs. Trainings that are approved are marked with an asterisk (*) in the Conference Schedule.

NURSES: To receive continuing education credit, please remember to fill in the appropriate boxes in the registration form online and bring your license number with you to conference!

All courses are also eligible for Life-Affirming Specialist credit hours.

In this, our 50^th birthday year, we reflected on the many accomplishments that the pregnancy help organization has witnessed. (And boy, were there some amazing things to celebrate!) We have grown into a worldwide movement that provides the timeless care and support that any woman facing an unexpected pregnancy needs in addition to new, innovative services to help combat the ever-changing needs of our clients.

It is awe-inspiring to look at how much this movement has grown and adapted since 1971.

And yet, there is still so much to do!

Now, we must look into the future to ensure we are following the path laid before us by God. We must remain laser-focused on the goal.

As we considered various themes for the 2022 Conference, we knew that we wanted to look forward at what God has in store while providing a comprehensive learning opportunity for each and every person working in pregnancy help. So we went to His word.

Keeping in mind that there are various types of organizations represented within the pregnancy help movement – pregnancy centers, medical clinics, maternity homes, and non-profit adoption agencies; serving cities and colleges, farms and suburbs – we all have a common vision: To make abortion unwanted today and unthinkable for future generations!

This common bond holds us together as a movement. We must navigate this path together toward this goal to truly advance a culture of life and also be encouraged in the task.

It is a journey. It is an adventure! And yet, those words didn’t represent what we wanted.

Future… Advancement… Press on… No. No. No.

And then a different word came to mind.

Onward (on·​ward) - toward or at a point lying ahead in space or time

Interesting word. What does the Bible say about it?

Philippians 3:12 - Focused on the Goal

I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.

That’s it! A combination of persistence, of adventure, of following God’s mission toward a mighty goal.

That one word encompassed all that we strive to achieve at our 2022 Conference in Jacksonville, FL from March 30-April 1.

When is the Heartbeat International conference?

This year, Heartbeat is offering two conferences, a live, in-person conference April 27-30 in Columbus, Ohio and a virtual conference, accessible in the convenience of your home April 28-30. Internationals are invited to both. However, this year, because of the restrictions in place due to the pandemic, no scholarships are available for the live conference. Scholarships are available only for the virtual conference, April 28-30, 2021. The scholarship application window for this conference is now closed, but there is a deal available for Heartbeat affiliates. Current Heartbeat affiliates can register two participants for the price of one. 

I can’t wait to attend! How do I take advantage of the affiliate deal?

Check to see if you are currently affiliated with Heartbeat directly, or with one of our Joint Affiliation Partners (JAP). Our JAPs are Pregnancy Help Network, Association for Life of Africa, Be’Ad Chaim, Pregnancy Care Canada, Centros de Ayuda para la Mujer, Movimento per la Vita, Pregnancy Help Australia, Pregnancy Support Services of Asia, and ProVida.  You can check your affiliation status by asking your JAP leader, and if you are affiliated with Heartbeat directly you can log in to your account. If you find that your status is in grace or expired, you will need to reaffiliate in order to take advantage of the 2 for 1 affiliate deal. When does registration end?

Early Bird registration is available until 20 March. Until that day, your 2 for 1 price will be $199. From 21 March to 9 April, the price will be $249, and after 10 April, the cost rises to $299. That means for the best price, it is important to register before 20 March.

One of our founding goals at Heartbeat International is to provide an annual training conference to properly equip the pregnancy help movement with the tools and concepts needed to empower women to choose life for their little ones.

Unfortunately, last year the pandemic caused us to dramatically shift from an in person conference to a virtual one and we missed the opportunity to be with you in-person. But God is so good! That conference ultimately resulted in us being able to train pregnancy help leaders in more than 30 nations worldwide and host the largest pregnancy help conference ever!

Little did we know at the time that our virtual conference would equip us with the technology and experience needed to continue providing key pregnancy help to centers worldwide when travel would remain restricted in many areas indefinitely.

Throughout this entire pandemic, pregnancy help organizations have continued to stay engaged in communities and in this network. We do this through our online trainings, our physical resources, and by staying connected by phone or Zoom. If this time reinforced anything, it is that relationships are vital!

Pregnancy help has remained an essential need through this past year and so as we plan ahead, we are committed to hosting an in-person conference in the spring. It is our 50th birthday celebration, and we want to share that time with you!

Understanding that there still will be some travel and health restrictions, we are creating a new path of learning so that anyone who wants to hear from experts in their field while receiving inspirational messages of hope has the ability to do so.

Therefore, we are preparing to host both an in-person conference and a virtual conference in tandem with one another.

This means, if you are in Columbus, Ohio with us this April 27-30, 2021, you will receive in-person training with more than 80 workshops from which to choose in addition to networking opportunities, keynote addresses, and in-depth training options. You will also have access to our virtual conference which will include an additional 50 workshops and more keynote addresses. You can then choose to binge watch the virtual conference at night or save it until you are back home.

We are working with the state and local government agencies as well as the hotel directly to ensure that all event safety guidelines are accounted for as your protection is of our utmost importance.

For those who choose to stay home for any reason, we understand, and we’ve got you covered.

Our Virtual Conference, April 28-30 will include nine different workshop tracks and six keynote addresses. Speakers will be available for Live Q&A at the end of their virtual workshop. Additionally, you will still have access to our amazing sponsors which provide products and services designed to advance the pregnancy help movement. You’ll also have the ability to network with other attendees and connect through our community board. 

We know that this period in time will make the history books and we plan to make the most of it! Professional development is key in any profession and it is our goal to lead the way by creating a new tandem conference so that any and all who seek to provide pregnancy help have the ability to do so either in-person, virtually, or both!

Dear Friends in Christ and Fellow Laborers in the Service of Life and Family,

Thank you for your heroic witness and numerous sacrifices offered on behalf of the most vulnerable of our global societies. As fellow servants of Life and Family, HLI has experienced the powerful life-changing impact of Pregnancy Centers and the services they offer.

Heartbeat International's mission is to “Reach and Rescue as many lives as possible, around the world, through an effective network of life-affirming pregnancy help, to Renew communities for Life.” This effort is possible and actualized because you believe that every precious life matters and has inherent dignity – is unrepeatable and deserves to be protected and served.

Your intercession has not only saved the lives of countless innocent pre-born children and their families from the violence of abortion, but it has also inspired greater awareness of our need to step out of our comfort zone and dare to stare the ongoing, physical reality of abortion in the face. Nothing brings home the brutal reality of abortion like standing on a sidewalk watching as men and women walk into an abortion facility to have their precious children killed. This experience can be gut-wrenching, but it’s also exactly what many of us need to shake off our complacency and light a fire in our bellies for Life. 

Your great mission challenges every member of society, Christian and non-Christian, to answer the questions, “Who is my neighbor?” and “Lord, when did I see you hungry, thirsty or naked…?”

Because of your love and compassion, people who believe in the dignity and sacredness of all human life, women and their unborn children receive genuine care and support, no matter the circumstances. Your charity and intervention authentically helps women see past the pro-abortion propaganda and immediate struggle they face, offering a variety of true help and services. Heartbeat’s accompaniment stands in stark contrast to the death peddlers whose solution to a current “crisis” is the destruction of a child and a mother’s lifetime filled with misery and memories of “what could have been.”

I believe abortion will never end until every Christian man and woman of good will considers it a personal responsibility to do everything reasonably in his or her power to protect life. That’s because abortion is so deeply embedded in our culture, we can’t expect a mere change of the laws, or the correct

public relations “strategy”, executed by large pro-life organizations, to loosen its stranglehold. What we need above all is conversion of heart, on a societal scale. And unless Christians like you and me are out there, literally on the street corners, publicly witnessing to self-sacrificial love and the Gospel message that will never happen.

Yet, it is hard to comprehend what our world would be like without people like you willing to sacrifice for Love. There is no doubt that the grip of the Evil One and the Culture of Death would be far tighter. You seek no self-congratulatory praise but offer everything for God’s glory alone. Know that you, a unique and unrepeatable gift, are making an irreplaceable difference. You are saving lives, one heartbeat at a time.

Interesting how opposition to our work tends to backfire, isn’t it?

Planned several years in advance for Chicago, Heartbeat International’s 2017 Annual Conference gathered over 1,200 life-affirming leaders in the heart of a state that is leading the way in chilling the conscience rights of its pro-life citizens.

Yes, states like Illinois, California and Hawaii are trying to squelch life-affirming options to abortion through the legislature. But no, their effort doesn’t seem to be having its desired effect.

The largest-ever pregnancy help conference, this year’s four-day event featured a star-studded cast of keynote speakers highlighted by syndicated columnist Cal Thomas, as well as pro-life leaders Anne Pierson, Jill Stanek and Ryan Bomberger.

Dr. William Lyle—a member of Heartbeat’s medical advisory council—also took the stage to tell his tremendous story, and attendees were treated to inspiring appearances on our main stage by the Benham Brothers and comedienne Anita Renfroe.

Add to this year’s keynotes 90 workshops, plus 15 in-depth-day opportunities and worship led by Matt Hammitt, and you start to get a snapshot of a movement that’s adding more momentum every day.

As one attendee said about this year’s conference, “There were no low-lights. Only highlights.”
