Second Week of Advent: Peace in the Journey

As we enter the second week of Advent and light the Bethlehem Candle, we remember the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem—a journey filled with uncertainty, trust, and faith. This candle represents peace, and we reflect on the gift of Christ, the Prince of Peace, who came to bring hope to all. Today, let us turn our hearts toward those who walk alongside women and families facing unplanned pregnancies, serving as beacons of peace and support when it is most needed.
In Isaiah 40:3-5, we read: “Prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” In a very real way, those who work in pregnancy help centers and maternity homes live out this calling. With compassion, they create a path through uncertainty, helping women navigate rough ground and level the mountains of fear that often accompany an unexpected pregnancy. They prepare the way by offering encouragement, resources, and, most importantly, the peace of Christ through loving support.
Like Mary and Joseph, who faced countless unknowns on their journey, each woman who walks into a pregnancy center brings her own unique story, fears, and hopes. The client advocates stand beside them, ready to listen, understand, and walk alongside them, much like Joseph did for Mary. They provide a steady presence, not only helping women make practical choices but also extending peace that comes from knowing they are not alone.
These dedicated individuals do not have all the answers, nor can they erase every difficulty, but their unwavering support and empathy remind women of their inherent dignity and worth. In this way, they are bearers of peace, inviting each person they encounter to lay down her fears and trust in a brighter tomorrow.
Pregnancy help organizations become sanctuaries of peace, where women and families can find relief from worry and gain clarity amidst the unknown. The staff and volunteers bring God’s peace into each interaction, each consultation, and each prayer.
They serve as reminders that God’s love is near and that, no matter the circumstance, hope is possible.
As we light the Bethlehem Candle this Advent, let us remember these modern-day shepherds who walk with courage, offering peace to those who seek it. They are a reflection of God’s faithfulness, and their work is a testament to the power of love and compassion in times of need. They prepare the way for new life—not just in physical birth but in the hope and healing that only Christ’s peace can bring.
Let us pray that these dedicated individuals find strength in their work and that every woman and family who enters a pregnancy help center might feel the presence of Christ through them. This season, may we all be inspired by their example to prepare the way for peace in our own lives and for those around us.

Constitutional amendments are an extreme way to change laws in a state. In fact, many states do not allow for these citizen-initiated constitutional amendments. Of the 50 states, 10 states have an amendment on the ballot. Many of these states require only a 50% +1 majority for these amendments to pass, while others require the ballot measure to receive at least 60%. With this in mind, pro-abortion activists are targeting otherwise pro-life states like South Dakota and Florida, because they believe they can get a simple majority of voters to go along with their ambiguous amendments.
Over the next year, we are likely to see the initiatives become more and more aggressive in their approach. All of these amendments are saturated in language that is obscure and misleading. Discover the red flags to look for to equip you, your organization, and your family this Fall. You can find the details for each of these upcoming ballot initiatives below. As the coalitions to support or counter these amendments form, we will be adding more information so that you can stay informed. ARIZONA
Amendment: Arizona Proposition 139, Right to Abortion Initiative (2024)
Result: ❌ Passed - Pro-Life loss.
Key points:
This amendment would establish abortion as a "fundamental right" and permit abortions up to viability, and cannot be interfered with unless there's a compelling state interest. While "viability" and "state interest" are defined in the amendment, it's unclear who would be permitted to determine viability, and it would abolish the state's current abortion that permits abortion up to 15 weeks.

Amendment: Florida Prohibit Laws Restricting Abortion Initiative
Result: ✅ Failed - Pro-Life Win!
Key points:
The deceptive language in this amendment would enshrine abortion into the state's constitution while leaving the terms "viability" and "healthcare provider" undefined. Included is another exception to permit abortions for the woman's health, yet it fails to explain the parameters of how a "healthcare provider" can make that determination. Guised as an initiative to limit government interference, this amendment leaves women even more vulnerable and without adequate medical care.

Amendment: Montana CI-128, Right to Abortion Initiative (2024)
Result: ❌ Passed - Pro-Life loss.
Key points:
This amendment would make abortion an "explicit constitutional right," permitting abortions up to birth with government regulation from the point of viability. It would also protect women who have abortions from any ramifications, including anyone who facilitated her having an abortion. That means that people complicit in pressuring, coercing, or forcing her to abort her baby would be legally protected by law.

Amendment: Nevada Right to Abortion Initiative
Result: ❌ Passed - Pro-Life loss. Requires approval at two successive general elections, this is the first of those two.
Key points:
This proposed amendment would permit abortion up to viability or the health of the mother. While it defines viability as "the point of pregnancy when 'there is a significant likelihood of the fetus' sustained survival outside the uterus without the application of extraordinary medical measures...'" this is a loose definition at best. The ambiguous definition of the term "viability" inadvertently places the life of an unborn child in the hands of a doctor's opinion.

SOUTH DAKOTA
Amendment: Constitutional Amendment G - Right to Abortion Initiative
Result: ✅ Failed - Pro-Life Win!
Key points:
This proposed amendment would enshrine abortion in the state's constitution so that there are no regulations against abortion in the entire first trimester and an exception for abortion when a woman's health is at risk in the second trimester. In the third trimester, an abortion decision is the judgment of a "medical professional." This vague language leaves abortion permissible up to birth as long as a medical professional permits.

Red Flags
As we watch the pro-abortion strategy to enshrine abortion into law in Ohio, we can learn what to watch for as we move forward into the 2024 election season. Their overly broad language is intentionally crafted to appear benign; while in reality, its impact will undo decades of work and even the most basic of protections for women and their unborn babies.
Terms such as "health," "individual," "burden," and "miscarriage care" should be red flags to us whenever we see them in upcoming constitutional amendments regarding "reproductive freedom." If we compare the pro-abortion talking points to the pro-life responses on Ohio's Issue 1, we can see where each of these phrases is used to obscure the true intent of allowing abortion up and through all nine months of pregnancy.
Limits on Abortion
- Pro-Abortion – “...abortion may be prohibited after fetal viability. But in no case may such an abortion be prohibited if in the professional judgment of the pregnant patient’s treating physician it is necessary to protect the pregnant patient’s life or health.”1
- Pro-Life – “In U.S. law, “health” includes age or physical, emotional, or psychological well-being. This means a woman’s age or emotional health could be cited to justify aborting a full-term baby. An abortion-providing physician would decide when a baby could survive outside the womb, leaving no clear protections for preborn children."2
The amendment states that “abortion may be prohibited after fetal viability” but the treating physician, which would likely be the abortionist, can perform the abortion if it is “necessary to protect the pregnant patient’s life or health.” The term “health” has been legally determined to mean not just physical, but also emotional, psychological, financial, and so much more. This gives any abortionist who is being paid for the abortion the freedom to perform the abortion up and through the ninth month of pregnancy as long as they believe it is best for the woman.
Bottom line, this amendment seeks to strike down every limit on abortion in Ohio law and prevent lawmakers from passing any new protections.
Parental Rights
- Pro-Abortion – “Ohio law requires young people to get parental consent before getting an abortion or any medical procedure, and Issue 1 does not change that.”3
- Pro-Life – “The initiative's language uses the legal term "individual," which does not differentiate between adults and minors. An "individual" legally refers to citizens of all ages—nullifying parents' rights to stop their children from making harmful decisions."4
The amendment was written with intentionally broad language. The term “individual” legally refers to people of all ages, and therefore if the amendment were to be passed, parental notification laws in Ohio would be struck down.
Furthermore, the amendment states that the State "shall not, directly or indirectly, burden, penalize, prohibit, interfere with, or discriminate against…a person or entity that assists an individual exercising this right.” This would protect those who may be coercing a woman into an abortion, or even attempting to cover up sexual assault of a minor.
Health and Safety Standards
- Pro-Abortion – The amendment summary states the State "shall not, directly or indirectly, burden, penalize, prohibit, interfere with, or discriminate against either an individual’s voluntary exercise of this right or a person or entity that assists an individual exercising this right…”5
- Pro-Life – “Health and safety standards in Ohio could be eliminated. Doctors could no longer need to examine a woman or explain the risks of the abortion procedure ahead of time."6 And current Ohio laws "require abortion providers to explain procedure risks and ensure access to hospital transfer if needed. These health and safety standards could be seen as a “burden” and be eliminated, making it even less safe for women seeking an abortion.”7
Due to the overly broad language that the State "shall not, directly or indirectly, burden, penalize, prohibit, interfere with, or discriminate against…a person or entity that assists an individual exercising this right,” it is highly likely that current state health and safety standards, like transfer agreements, will be struck down by the courts if this amendment were to pass. In the past, the standard of "undue burden" set by the Supreme Court in Planned Parenthood vs. Casey was often used to limit the protections put in place by states. The courts would weigh if the laws were overly burdensome to women seeking abortions. However, with this amendment, they have removed the word "undue, " meaning that they could strike down any law that hinders a woman from seeking an abortion, even if they are there for her safety.
Miscarriage Care
- Pro-Abortion – Miscarriage care is included in the amendment as one of the protected “reproductive decisions.”8
- Pro-Life – “The passing or failure of Issue 1 will have no effect on the care a pregnant woman receives when her life is in danger, even if the treatment results in the loss of life of her unborn child. There is a fundamental difference between an elective abortion and the care provided after a miscarriage or for ectopic pregnancies. Women can always receive lifesaving treatment, including in Catholic hospitals. No law restricts this care in Ohio or any other state in the country."9
The inclusion of “miscarriage care” in the list of protected “reproductive decisions” in the amendment is intended to further promulgate the lie that abortion bans also restrict women from accessing miscarriage care or treatment for ectopic pregnancies. No law regulating or banning abortion has ever restricted access to miscarriage treatment or lifesaving measures. The pro-abortion activists hope that by insinuating that miscarriage care might be limited, they can scare voters into passing their amendment out of fear.
By educating ourselves on the actual effects of these constitutional amendments, we can better educate our friends and supporters who are being bombarded with misinformation. Terms like "health," "individual," "burden," and "miscarriage care" should raise red flags for anyone concerned about the protection of the unborn and the wellbeing of women. As we can see, the proposed amendment in Ohio seeks to eliminate every limit on abortion, infringe upon parental rights, compromise health and safety standards, and spread misinformation about the accessibility of miscarriage care. By staying informed and countering misinformation, we can ensure that our democratic processes uphold the values and protections we hold dear as we head into the 2024 election season.

Opposition Strategy
The overturning of Roe was a fantastic victory for the pro-life movement, a turning point in the fight to protect life. Many of us were excited to turn our focus to our states to pass legislation protecting preborn babies. However, we are now seeing a concerning trend where pro-abortion activists are attempting to accomplish locally what they failed to do federally, place the "right" to abortion into the constitution.
These efforts began in abortion-friendly states like California and Vermont in 2021, but now, traditionally pro-life states are being targeted. Ohio is one of the first, with Issue 1 on the ballot for November 2023, and there could be up to six state initiatives of this kind in 2024.
By amending state constitutions, pro-abortion groups can bypass pro-life majority state legislatures that would never support removing all protections for women and allowing abortion through all nine months of pregnancy. Using ballot initiatives, they can write incredibly broad language that is misleading to voters. Big Abortion hides behind the ambiguity and statements of "reproductive freedom" in an attempt to obscure the true impacts of the amendments.
In Ohio, for example, the amendment states that:
"Every individual has a right to make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions..."
The authors intentionally use the term "individual" to ensure that the amendment applies to minors and will remove all laws regarding parental notification.
The proposed amendment also states:
"Abortion may be prohibited after fetal viability. But in no case may such an abortion be prohibited if in the professional judgment of the pregnant patient’s treating physician it is necessary to protect the pregnant patient’s life or health."
While this may at first seem like Ohio would be able to pass a law prohibiting abortions after viability, the addition of the word "health" allows the physician to perform an abortion for essentially any reason. They could easily claim that the abortion was necessary for the betterment of her mental health. (The full text of the proposed amendment can be found here.)
Another issue with this strategy is that the process of reversing constitutional amendments is difficult and highly costly. In 2022, the campaigns for and against Michigan's Proposal 3, the Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative, spent over 68 million dollars. The pro-abortion groups won after spending almost 48 million dollars, and the pro-life advocates spent just over 21 million. Campaigns of this magnitude cannot be run year after year, and pro-abortion groups understand this. They know if they can pass one amendment, it will likely prevent that state from restricting abortion in any way for many years to come, and the pro-life majority legislatures can do nothing to change that.
Constitutional amendments are an extreme way to change laws in a state. In fact, many states do not allow for these citizen-initiated constitutional amendments. Of the 50 states, there are only 18 in which citizens can gather signatures to place an amendment onto the ballot. Many of these states require only a 50% +1 majority for these amendments to pass, while others require the ballot measure to receive at least 60%. With this in mind, pro-abortion activists are targeting otherwise pro-life states like Missouri, South Dakota, and Ohio, because they believe they can get a simple majority of voters to go along with their ambiguous amendments.
To overcome these attacks on life, it is important that we fully understand the new battleground that has developed post-Roe. The fight has shifted back to each individual state, but we must also keep in mind the bigger picture and understand what attacks are on the horizon. Big Abortion is not satisfied with just ensuring California and New York are sanctuaries for abortion; they want every state to enshrine abortion as a "right" in their constitution. Because of this, we must also continue our work of pushing back against the lies that tell women they are not capable of being a mother. Whether you live in a Life State or an Abortion State, you are uniquely positioned to speak the truth and champion life!

As non-profits and 501(c)(3) organizations, it can be confusing to understand what you are allowed and not allowed to do when it comes to elections. While this confusion can make it easier to sit on the sidelines, these issues are too important to leave in the hands of others. You know firsthand how abortion harms women. You are the expert on what women truly need to be able to succeed and choose life for their babies! This November it is far too vital that you speak up for life.
The good news is that non-profits are allowed to be engaged in advocacy for constitutional amendments! The IRS states that a 501(c)(3) may participate in political activities as long as they constitute an insubstantial part of the overall expenditures. An insubstantial amount is generally considered 5 to 15 percent of a 501(c)(3)’s funds, although the IRS does not provide a specific definition. For an in-depth breakdown of the guidelines, you can read the "Guidelines for Political Activities of Not-For-Profit Organizations". Listed on pages 8 and 9 is a comprehensive list of approved activities.
Below are a few key ways that you and your organization can get involved in the election and advocate for life!
Register to Vote
First and foremost, make sure that you are registered to vote! Your vote is critical in November and future lives depend on it. Please take time now to make sure that you are registered to vote here!
After that, make sure that your supporters are registered as well! In newsletters and emails, you can remind those who support your mission that their involvement in the election matters.
Check your Voting Deadlines
With the rise in early and absentee voting, it is even more important for you to be aware of your state's election deadlines! You can find your state's information here, and ensure that you are educating your audiences before they head to the polls.
Join or Create Your State's Pregnancy Help Coalition
Now it is more important than ever to connect with like-minded pregnancy help organizations. By joining together with pregnancy help organizations in your state, you can better collaborate and understand the issues facing your communities. We are stronger together! Connect with Local Pro-Life Groups
As elections arise in your state, groups like your local Right to Life and Family Research Council will be great resources to equip you with talking points and educational tools. You can find your local Family Research Council here, and your state's Right to Life group here!
Educate Your Supporters
Now that you are registered, understand the deadlines, and have partnered with other pro-life groups, it is time to communicate with your supporters and make sure that they understand what is at stake in the upcoming election! Don't assume that because they support your organization, they will vote to protect life. They may not be politically engaged, or they may not understand the true ramifications of these constitutional amendments. It is important that you use your voice to help them make sense of all the noise, especially as an organization that they trust when it comes to supporting women and their babies.

Constitutional amendments are an extreme way to change laws in a state. In fact, many states do not allow for these citizen-initiated constitutional amendments. Of the 50 states, there are only 18 in which citizens can gather signatures to place an amendment onto the ballot. Many of these states require only a 50% +1 majority for these amendments to pass, while others require the ballot measure to receive at least 60%. With this in mind, pro-abortion activists are targeting otherwise pro-life states like Missouri, South Dakota, and Ohio, because they believe they can get a simple majority of voters to go along with their ambiguous amendments.
Over the next year, we are likely to see close to 10 different abortion-related constitutional amendments. These range from Ohio's initiative that would remove all abortion restrictions, to Iowa's which would ensure that there is no right to abortion in their constitution. You can find the details for each of these upcoming ballot initiatives below. As the coalitions to support or counter these amendments form, we will be adding more information so that you can stay informed. OHIO
The "Ohio Issue 1, Right to Make Reproductive Decisions Including Abortion Initiative" would greenlight abortion all the way up to birth by giving abortionists the final say on what’s allowed. This issue is intentionally written to be vague and broad so that it will stop the state legislature from creating any restrictions on abortion and other "reproductive decisions" for both adults and children.

Pregnancy Care Ministry (PCM): Caring for Unborn Children and their Mothers.
Pregnancy Care Ministry (PCM) was established in 2012 as a Community Based Organization (CBO) starting its services at the church premises but in 2013 we got a single room to operate from. The establishment was based on Ministry of Health (MOH) Maternal and Perinatal Death Review (MPDR) 2012/2013 which indicated gabs in service provision and therefore the gabs needed to be addressed in order to reduce on the deaths and injuries on mothers and children especially on the unborn. In the report there were 724,806 deliveries at the health facilities and 1157 died in child births. The causes of death were due to bleeding, pregnancy complication associated with high blood pressure, infections, abortions and pregnancy related sepsis among others.
To end the avoidable causes Pregnancy Care Ministry has devised on addressing on the root causes of abortions and unplanned pregnancies with preventive and curative interventions to address the shortage of blood at the heath facilities, lack of skilled birth attendants, lack of critical resources, lack of transport for mothers to be taken to health facilities from their homes, lack of partner support, dependence on herbal use and refusal to be taken for medical treatments.
In 2018 Pregnancy Care Ministry (PCM) got a permission to operate the medical health center which included a maternity home to provide life affirming reproductive health care services, alternative to abortion, new parents educations, and rescue services in a caring and conducive environment.
A SAFETY NET
Pregnancy Care Ministry (PCM) helps to serve as a safety-net for men, women and children in Jinja City. Pregnancy Care Ministry (PCM) aims at being a place where women, men, and children who need hope, restorations, rescue, healing of heart and peoples life’s touched in most compassionate way and in love. The services will include parents education, free pregnancy diagnosis, low cost STD testing and treatment, laboratory Tests, counseling and Guidance, prenatal vitamins, post abortion healing, sexual risk avoidance education, natural family planning, baby shower, safe health delivery (Maama Kits), ultrasound scan, livelihood skills, material & education support.
The medical and psychosocial support Services will be provided under the direction and supervision of qualified medical and psychosocial professionals who are recognized locally and internationally.
Since inception 2012 we have impacted over 50,000 young and old women and men through medical provisions, life skills trainings and sensitization, provision safety space, spiritual nourishments, counseling, education support and care.

- A 32-year-old mother gravida 9 para 1 aborted at 5 months and developed severe anemia. She got renal failure and sepsis and passed away.
- A mother was admitted from a traditional mother attendant (TBA) with a big baby and obstructed labor and a history of having taken native medicine. She had a cesarean section but died on the operation table. A live baby boy was delivered.
- A 35-year-old pregnant mother was admitted to obesity. Injury Severity Score (ISS) and pregnancy-induced hypertension. She was treated and discharged only to be re-admitted within 7 hours after collapsing suddenly with difficulty in breathing, severe headache, palpitation ad dizziness. She shortly died after admission.
- A 24-year-old mother diagnosed with pregnancy-induced hypertension who had refused referral from the lower Health Center unit was admitted with eclampsia. She was delivered by cesarean section and began to convulse after c/s. she died soon after.
- A 37-year mother gravida 4 para 3 was admitted with a history of transverse lie and Arm prolapse. A cesarean section was done. She got post-partum hemorrhage and was given 1 unit of blood before she died of anemia.
- A 36-year-old mother was admitted with obstructed labor and maternal distress having been reoffered from traditional birth attendant (TBA). History showed she had not attended antenatal care. She was delivered by cesarean section and died of the shock of no obvious cause.
- A 30-year-old mother gravida 6 para 5 was referred from Health Center II where she had stayed for 2 days. She came in with both maternal exhaustion and fetal distress. A cesarean section was done but she died suddenly after the operation.
- A 14 year admitted to RRH 2 weeks before and was transfused. She was re-admitted here through the antenatal clinic critically ill with severe anemia and pregnant 20 wk. she was transfused 3 times but each time she became more jaundiced ++. She died 2 days later.
- A gravid 3 and para 2 HIV+ mother not ART with baseline CD4 of 540 cells who had collapsed suddenly for one day had been referred but refused. She had an abortion after 2 days and died.
- A 17-year-old mother was admitted after delivery in a clinic and got retained placenta. There was a delay in reaching the hospital. Manual removal of the placenta was done in the labor ward. Blood transfusion had just started when she gasped and died.

Silent voices Uganda is an interdenominational organization which was founded in 2009 registered as community based organization in 2012 having found out that there were rampant cases of abortion especially among school girls and young women leading to death of babies and their mothers as a result of abortion.
Although the clergy, Christians and the community condemn it there was no effort put to actively sensitize society and institutions about the dangers, physical complications of abortion and its long term effects and in addition train these girls in skills for self-reliance and sustainable livelihood.
So our VISION is promoting openness, tolerance, forgiveness, reconciliation as a means of protecting life and sustainable development.
Our MISSION is carrying out sensitization on abortion, reconciliation, mobilization and skills acquisition on to common action plan of development.

Silent voices Uganda since its inception has sensitized over 3,000 school girls and boys in schools such as Halycon High School, Jeressah High School, Bethany Girls senior Secondary School, Cross roads Soroti Senior Secondary School, Light Secondary School, Manafa Secondary School Pioneer Primary School, Aminit Vocational Institute. We have reached 120 young mothers with social material support such as clothing, soap. Out of family resources and since we started this vision in 2009, we have now registered young single mothers who have been a abandoned by the boys who impregnated them and then they run away, leaving them with no help and this group is over 3,000 young mothers in the districts where silent voices operates from.
Silent voices Uganda carries out pregnancy tests in schools when girls return after voices and many of them who are found testing positive in pregnancy are encouraged to keep the pregnancy and then return to school after delivery which has been successful.
Silent voices helped 3 girls to return to school and two of them have finished courses in teaching and Midwifery. It’s upon these that we request for your support in terms of finances, training and pregnancy facility development. We will greatly appreciate your support in any way which is possible to you.

Our vision is to help women in the situation of unplanned pregnancy, by walking alongside them in their own unique circumstances. We provide counseling, as well as emotional and material support. We also help women who have suffered reproductive loss and have had abortion/s to find healing and restoration.

I got pregnant with my third child unexpectedly. My first thought was, oh no, how are we going to provide for this one?! I went to see a doctor and he told me I was 12 weeks pregnant. The only thought I had in my mind is to have an abortion. I thought that would be the most responsible decision. Still, I had my doubts, so I decided to look for answers online. There I found your FB page, and I read that you help women in crisis pregnancy.
I called you, and you were so patient and kind to me. I talked to my husband after that and we both agree that we actually want this baby and that we will manage to provide for her somehow. At the beginning of our relationship, everything was “perfect”. He was kind, gentle and loving. However, the moment I told him I was pregnant, he completely changed. WHO ARE WE?
The LIGHTHOUSE Center for Life, the first pro-life registered center in the nation of Bosnia and Hercegovina since 2001, is managed by Robert and Sara (Sandrina) Jurjevich. The LIGHTHOUSE offers information and education for women about pregnancy, regardless of whether it is planned or unplanned. Through our educational activities and workshops, we aim to answer the questions that pregnant moms have concerning their pregnancy and how to prepare for the most precious gift in life – parenthood.
The highest priority of the LIGHTHOUSE ministry is to offer hope to women facing a crisis pregnancy and to offer alternatives to abortion, which is considered the main birth-control remedy in Bosnian society.

‘PREPARE FOR YOUR BABY’ PREGNANCY WORKSHOPS. Throughout the year the LIGHTHOUSE team offers a course of 6 consecutive weekly workshops for pregnant moms where we discuss the development of their baby in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy; the importance of a healthy diet and exercise; preparation for the birth of the child; and, what to expect in the first weeks after birth.
In the workshops, we provide pregnant moms with a nine-month pregnancy calendar called ‘The Miracle of Life’ which walks them through the details of their pregnancy month by month. Additionally, at the end of the workshop, the attendees receive a gift bag filled with items they will need for the baby.

Determined Mom Receives Life-Affirming Support Through Option Line
Amber* discovered Option Line’s number through an online search for pregnancy help. Sahara answered the call and patiently listened to Amber who said that she knew she was pregnant.
Amber shared that just earlier that day, her boyfriend had let her know that he had “taken care of everything.” He had called an abortion provider and set up an appointment for an abortion without telling her beforehand and he said he would pay for everything. Amber told him that would not be happening. She told Sahara, “come hell or high water, with or without him, I am having this baby, but I need some help.”
Sahara recognized Amber was determined to choose life for her child and discussed how a pregnancy help center would be able to assist her directly and through referrals to other local resources. As they talked, Sahara provided the contact information for the center closest to Amber.
Knowing she now had at least one place to go to for both emotional and material support, Amber expressed her gratitude. She also let Sahara know she was going to try to talk to her boyfriend and see if he would come with her, too!
Thanks to Option Line answering this call, Amber will now be able to receive life-affirming support in her community.

Our Vision: Saving the lives of unborn children and the salvation of their mothers and fathers.
Our Mission: To help women who are in crisis due to pregnancy, to make a choice in favor of life. Reducing the number of abortions in Ukraine. Changing the mentality of the Ukrainian people on the issue of the value of human life.
In Ukraine, 67% of women, who have had an abortion admit that they would save their pregnancy and their child's future if they had support and financial assistance. We began our work in the spring of 2013.
Thanks to the charitable contributions of caring people, we can support these women with food, clothing, childcare, and household items, support before and after childbirth, provide accommodation, and help with paperwork, if necessary.
As a result, women who received help and care remain pregnant and new Ukrainians are born. Mother and child get a new life and a future. These are usually women (families) in difficult life circumstances. For them, this is a challenge and a problem that they find difficult to cope with on their own. In this difficult time for women (families), we are there to help with special needs and support women when they need it the most. We want them to know there is hope. There is hope today, and there is hope for the future.

The war in Ukraine
Everything that’s happening now in Ukraine is heartache for us. We are losing Ukrainian children being murdered in occupied cities and the number of abortions increased and are being massively performed. The Lord shook us hard and called us to enter a new spiritual position. We can be light for a lot of people by spreading the Gospel. Our organization is not big but mobile, we don’t need bureaucracy. This gives us the ability to help women directly and react fast to the needs our clients have.
Our ministry center is in the Western part of Ukraine in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. A huge number of refugees from the east occupied cities among them pregnant women and women with newborn babies escape to this part of Ukraine which is not occupied. The majority of them have serious PTSD and need counseling. Some need humanitarian help: food, medication, clothes, care items for babies, and housing. Through counseling, material, and financial support we are sharing God’s love with them. We are trying to answer their needs as much as we can with everything we have.
Now we provide housing and all necessary care for two pregnant women, one of them with a 2-year-old toddler whose house in Lysychansk (Luhansk region) was destroyed. We also take care of 12 pregnant women that escaped from occupation and each day we receive more women in crisis pregnancies.

We also drove far away together, it was a pleasure. It's still interesting to live, although a little scary. Mom notices that I always want to see where, who is doing what, and does not allow me to be ignored. Mom thinks that I am afraid that I will not be forgotten. And it is true. The feeling that I might be unnecessary to anyone and the fear that they want to get rid of me. I am Eva and I am already 2.5 months old"
No one has ever heard the voice of a baby inside the womb, we do not know for sure what he feels and what he understands. His feelings, knowledge and voice in his heartbeat. The maternity center is determined to listen to this signal of life and pave the way for it.

The Ukrainian National Crisis Pregnancy Aid Hotline is a charitable organization.
Our Vision: Saving the lives of unborn children and the salvation of their mothers and fathers.
Our Mission: To help women who are in crisis due to pregnancy, to make a choice in favor of life. Reducing the number of abortions in Ukraine. Changing the mentality of the Ukrainian people on the issue of the value of human life.
In Ukraine, 67% of women, who have had an abortion admit that they would save their pregnancy and their child's future if they had support and financial assistance. We began our work in the spring of 2013.
Thanks to the charitable contributions of caring people, we can support these women with food, clothing, childcare, and household items, support before and after childbirth, provide accommodation, and help with paperwork, if necessary.
As a result, women who received help and care remain pregnant and new Ukrainians are born. Mother and child get a new life and a future. These are usually women (families) in difficult life circumstances. For them, this is a challenge and a problem that they find difficult to cope with on their own. In this difficult time for women (families), we are there to help with special needs and support women when they need it the most. We want them to know there is hope. There is hope today, and there is hope for the future.

The attitude to the murder of unborn children in Ukraine is the attitude to each other and to the world. Our country exists only because we are alive: Ukraine can’t exist without its people.

Life Reach Global - India
For over ten years we have been promoting and defending the value of all human life from conception until natural death in South Asia.
Through our awareness seminars we have reached out to over one hundred and thirty thousand people who are either directly involved with pregnancy termination or who themselves form part of the endangered target group.
We have a special home, where the expecting mother can finish her pregnancy without threat and be counseled how she can either return to family life with her newly-born child or parent her child through adoption. Some of these women choose to stay on and be trained by us in life skills.
In a second home we provide for the elderly, enabling them to spend their final months, weeks and days with dignity in a loving and caring environment.
Alongside our life center for expecting mothers and our center for the elderly we have now received approval to open an infant home, paving the way for the center to also become an adoption agency.
We have developed a large network of life-care-focused organizations in South Asia. We confer regularly and facilitate annual summits to share experiences, explore avenues to reach even more people in need, and strengthen our mutual resolve to serve.
With our legal partners, Alliance Defending Freedom, we have contested attempts to curtail the rights of the unborn at the highest legal levels.
We have launched our nation’s first pro-life pregnancy helpline to provide immediate counsel and practical help to women or couples contemplating an abortion.
India has a distorted male/female birth rate with 7000 girls being aborted on sex-selective grounds daily. The nation we serve has one of the highest abortion rates per women of reproductive age in the world while the movement to speak up and protect these precious ones and their mothers is young and small. Unborn Justice - Barbados
Unborn Justice is a registered life-affirming charity operating in Barbados. Unborn Justice was founded by three young people – Kyle Martindale, Shavonne Grosvenor, and Kamille Martindale – out of a passion to provide women with an alternative to abortion. In January 2014, these three young people sat down together to determine what they could do to see their passion fulfilled. They left the meeting with a plan. It wasn’t until eight months later, though, and God’s divine intervention that they met two young ladies who would need the services of Unborn Justice. With nothing more than a willingness to serve and lots of faith, the ministry of Unborn Justice began.
In May 2017, we opened a Pregnancy Help Centre aimed at providing support to women and their partners faced with crisis pregnancies.
